***Project Runway Vietnam***
I'm so happy that the show finally comes to Vietnam. It's be a great show and real challenge, also a chance to shine for anyone who has a passion for fashion design, including me. Although, I didn't apply at first cause I wasn't confidence with my sewing skill and was already in the 2nd round of Young Designer 2013 from Her World Mag.
A week before the casting, a girl from the organizer somehow knew about me and gave me a call. I was like "Hmm... Why the hell not?" Let's go improve my poor sewing skill in a week and go for it! Even if I didn't make it, it's still a good challenge and learning opportunity for me as well as publicity for my blog cause I know this is where all the talented people and fashionistas come to introduce themselves.
So I did. I went for a sewing class and be a hard student, I've practiced everyday from 6 am to 5 pm. Thanks Mrs. Phuong from Bac Nam Volcano college, Hai Phong , she was a good teacher. Look what I made after my first week. This is also the piece I wore myself to presented at the casting today.
It was a long day. I was at the Crown Plaza casting since 9 am with lots of people, lots of waiting and a ton of things on my mind about all the challenges. I was worried every time I entered the next challenge but then I got my s**t together and tried to finished them my best. I did it and I made it... till tomorrow. I am now the top 15 from the North of Vietnam. If I got through the interview tomorrow. I'll meet the top 6 from the South and officially move in The House for the real challenges toward winning Project Runway.
Anyhow, I'm happy I made it this far and I will keep trying my best for tomorrow so if I go home, I'll go with no regret! I also had fun today meeting new friends who had the same passion. I'm sad for who had to go home but wish you all the best for the next one and congratulation for who are joining me tomorrow :)!
Wish me luck lovers, lots of it!
