101 AV CHAMPS ELYSEE, 75008 PARIS
It was actually my first time inside the biggest Louis Vuitton store in Paris, the one on Champs Elysée. I only came for the exhibition that my fashion history teacher was talking about on the top floor of the building and to pick up my new LV agenda for 2014. (Although I thought the exhibition was all about Louis Vuitton and the history of the designer house)
I avoided to shop here because even thou I always wanted to see the inside of the biggest LV store in Paris but everytime I passed, saw the queue outside, full of my "cousins"... I was like "Mehhhhh! I'm not wanna do this!" I was surprised that the day I came, there's no queue! I just walked right in, asked for my agenda and then asked to see the exhibition.
I went to the 2nd or 3rd floor, pushed the elevator button and waited for 5 minutes till a guy in suits came and picked me up. They elevator went pitch black (which was designed by Olafur Eliassson and was a part of the tour. It's like a trick to your eyes that made you forgot everything you just saw (like the fabulous Louis Vuitton collections) and prepared them for the whole new experiences!
Only then I knew the exhibition had nothing to do with Louis Vuitton except they shared the same building and the idea of "TRAVELING") They called "Espace Culturel" which hosted contemporary artworks, exhibitions, virtual tours etc... I was there when they had this exhibition about Rumanian artists.
It was the nice experience anyway, I enjoyed seeing the Rumanian artist painting and will definitely come back for more exhibitions!
If you are looking for fashion and coffee table books, the LV books section here is not bad, they carry a lot of good and rare books. Check it out!
My favorites from the exhibition:
***I'm Queen A, cause I ain't no Queen B... Hand me the crown ♕!***
