The new mayor of the 19th arrondissement threw a ball and invited the 1st year student of IFA Paris for a little design concept. We got to design the mask for the guests which inspired by the 2 movies of David Lynch: Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet and the TV series Twin Peaks. I've never watched any of Lynch's movies nor the show but the moment I saw Audrey Horne (played by Sherilyn Fenn) in Twin Peaks, I liked her style immediately! Done some more research I even like her more and decided that she's my muse and I'm gonna make an Audrey-mask, cover with crystal.

Even thou we weren't invited to the ball (Pff! The moment I heard about "the  ball" I was like "hmm, what I'm gonna wear!)) but I was super excited to do this. Everyone think I'm crazy to spend 200 euro on crystals and strass them one by one. But what can I say? Stay true to my design static and it was worth it. It was hard at first as my first time doing this but a little more research and lots of patient, I did it. It looked fabulous!

I even asked my friend Antonie who is a big fan of Audrey and really into vintage style to be my model for the mask. Doesn't she look cute posing with my mask.

The mask now is exhibition at my school along with other students's work. If you pass by IFA Paris, check it out.
